Dr. Diederich has been performing many multi-procedure surgeries since opening his practice in 2011 and we’ve had quite an increase in these procedures over the last several months. We are seeing less straight breast augmentations and more combination procedures of breast augmentation and tummy tuck. If the patient is a good fit, we can also add liposuction and breast lift to be done on the same day. This is extremely beneficial for patients as it leaves them with only one recovery period.
He is able to do this because of his extensive experience with these types of surgeries. His technique is quicker which allows for less time the patient is required to be under anesthesia. Though he is quick, he is still very detail oriented and a bit of a perfectionist. As mentioned previously, he does these procedures regularly so he has seen many different possibilities and knows what he is able to do at one time to provide the patient with the best result possible.
This is also a huge benefit for someone who has had major weight loss. Often, these patients have several areas of the body they would like to address so during the consultation, we discuss all the options. With major weight loss, the patient may still require two surgeries but Dr. Diederich will make suggestions on the order in which to proceed to provide the best outcomes for the patient.
We always make sure to explain everything as thoroughly as possible and answer all of the patient’s questions. We understand this is a huge decision and one that, we believe, should be made with full understanding and confidence.
