Dr. Diederich is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon. We say this a lot but what does it mean and why is it important?
Being board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery means that a physician has trained and been tested in plastic surgery specifically. This board is the only plastic surgery board acknowledged by The American Board of Medical Specialties. We always recommend going to a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon for plastic or cosmetic surgery to make sure they’ve had the proper training. This specialization requires knowledge of both patient safety and an aesthetically pleasing appearance. This is important because without being a member of this board, there are no regulations for who can perform plastic surgery or what standards are kept.
Dr. Diederich is also a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons and The Aesthetic Society. These have additional requirements including continuing education each year to stay up to date with new techniques and technologies. He attends meetings several times a year as well to be able to provide the best possible care for his patients.
Dr. Diederich founded MidAmerica Plastic Surgery in 2011. He operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and most Fridays which gives him significant experience in all forms of plastic surgery. Throughout his years of experience, he has seen a wide variety of patients which makes him adaptable for each patient’s unique needs and desires.
