As summer draws to a close, we face the real world sneaking up on us… That’s right- school is starting back up. *Gasp!
Whether you’re starting school or your kids are, one thing is for certain: schedules are going to get busier. With added stress and running around all day, it’s easy to forget about taking care of your skin. But never fear, MidAmerica is here!! If you remember one thing for back to school let it be this perfect morning routine for flawless skin:
- Cleanse. Wet your face with warm (not hot) water. Choose the best cleanser for your skin type: For acne, use a cleanser with salicylic acid. For aged skin, use a cleanser with glycolic acid. For sensitive skin, use a cream-based cleanser that won’t dry out your skin. After massaging the cleanser into your skin for at least 30 seconds, rinse with cool water.
- Moisturize. After patting your face dry with a clean towel, apply a light moisturizer. You don’t want to clog your pores with a moisturizer that’s too heavy.
- Apply sunscreen. The most important and helpful thing you can do for your skin is protect it from harmful UV rays. Apply a sunscreen with at least 30 SPF every day! We recommend The Spa’s Daily Tinted Sunshield. It’s tinted and has a matte finish, so it won’t make you shiny.
